On Thursday, June 15th, 2023, the Lincoln County Law Association hosted the annual Honourees’ Dinner at Coppola’s Ristorante in St. Catharines. The dinner honoured members of the Lincoln County Law Association who have reached 50 years of being called to the bar, with a special toast to those who have been called to the bar for over 40 years.
The following lawyers from Daniel & Partners LLP were among those honoured at this event:
Terrence H. Hill
Terrence H. Hill is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his Call to the Bar. Terrence graduated from Brock University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He attended law school at Queen’s University and obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree in 1981.
Terrence returned to St. Catharines and commenced his employment with the firm Harris, Barr, the predecessor of our current firm Daniel & Partners and has since had a longstanding career here.
Terrence is primarily engaged as a trial lawyer. Terrence has extensive experience in personal injury, insurance, administrative, municipal, and estate litigation. During his longstanding career with the firm, Terry has appeared as counsel in the Ontario Court (General Division), Superior Court, Divisional Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada.
Terrence is also active within his church and serves as a committee member of the local hospital.
Ronald E. Martens
Ronald E. Martens is celebrating the 47th anniversary of his Call to the Bar.
Ronald graduated from McMaster University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He then attended Osgoode Hall Law School and obtained his Bachelor of Law degree in 1974.
Ronald has been practicing law in the Niagara region since 1976. In July of 2022, Ronald joined Daniel & Partners LLP to continue serving his clients, and we are so pleased to have him!
During Ronald’s early career, he was primarily focused on real estate. However, his practice has since expanded to wills and estates as well as business and corporate law.
Ronald is an active member of New Hope Church Niagara. Ronald is also a past director and Treasurer of the Education Foundation of Niagara and a past Chair of Eden Christian College.
Rick A. Dilts
Rick A. Dilts, is celebrating the 44th anniversary of his Call to the Bar.
Rick has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto. He attended law school at the University of Ottawa and obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree in 1977.
Rick has been practicing law in the Niagara region since 1979. In July of 2022, Rick also joined Daniel & Partners LLP to continue serving his clients, and we are pleased to have him as well! Rick’s area of expertise is in real estate, and wills and estates.
Rick is a very active member of the community and his church. Rick has been an accompanist at Port Colborne Brethren in Christ Church for 55 years, a choir director for 43 years and is currently a Music Director for several performing musical groups. Rick is a past member and an honorary lifetime member of the Fonthill Rotary Club, a past member of the Board of Directors of Big Sisters of Welland and Port Colborne and for 10 years Rick was the Niagara College Law Clerk Advisor counsel.
