Welcome to the firm Bethany!

Hello! My name is Bethany Helaine Poltl and I am excited to join Daniel & Partners LLP as a summer co-op student for 2023.

I am currently a third year honors undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo studying Environment and Business and minoring in International Development. I am interested in pursuing a career in law.

At UW I am active on campus, as a Residence Don I support first and upper year students academically, socially, and mental health wise. I am Science and Technology editor for our Imprint Campus Newspaper using my writing to share stories about environmental awareness. I am a recently certified World Wildlife Fund Living Planet Leader, now leading the creation and implementation of sustainable projects on campus. I am also a member of the Women in Pre-Law club, creating a community space for women on campus interested in the legal field.

As a lifelong Niagara resident I have always been passionate about helping others, through my volunteer work as founder and Chair of the NOTL LMYAC in 2017 until I graduated from LSSS in 2020, to mentoring NRSEF students, and working to support youth Mental Health and Wellness.

In my previous co-ops I have worked as a Junior Policy Analyst for the federal government at Environment and Climate Change Canada and with the UW Sustainability Office as their Outreach and Communications assistant.

Outside of the office you will find me with my camera in hand as I am an avid nature photographer who enjoys dancing, reading and nature walks.

I look forward to learning something new everyday in my role here at Daniel and Partners LLP as they support my journey into law!
