Hello! My name is Joshua Perl, and I am excited to start working as an associate at Daniel & Partners LLP.
I obtained my J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2024. In law school, I published a paper in the Manitoba Law Journal titled Infanticide Provisions in a Contemporary Context: Should They Stay, or Should They Go? I also volunteered at two legal clinics, gaining hands-on experience.
Prior to law school, I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in McMaster University’s Justice, Political Philosophy and Law Program.
I articled at a criminal defence firm in Hamilton, Ontario, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2025. My articling experience developed my passion for advocacy and litigation.
After my articling term, I had the privilege of completing a judicial clerkship from August 2025 to July 2026, where I clerked for Madam Justice Heneghan and Madame Justice Conroy. My clerkship gave me the opportunity to work in multiple areas of law, including administrative law, constitutional law, immigration law, and civil litigation.
Outside of work, I love playing squash and softball, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.
I look forward to working alongside such a skilled team of lawyers, law clerks, and support staff, continuing to develop as an advocate, and contributing to the firm.
