LCLA Articling Student Orientation

September 10, 2025

On Tuesday September 17th, 2019, the LCLA held its Articling Student Orientation day at the St. Catharines Courthouse.  Articling students and lawyers new to the region were invited to attend the event and learn about the different departments in the St. Catharines courthouse, the different services available there, and to meet and greet with fellow articling students and lawyers.

Attendees received a tour of the courthouse and were treated to presentations on a variety of topics, including how to act in court and at the courthouse and how to make the most of the resources available there, including the Law Library.

Special thanks to our presenters Kelly Elliott and Derek Drake of the Lincoln County Law Association, Bobbie Walker, Marlene Vanderspek, Former Deputy Justice Black, the staff at the Land Registry Office, and the LCLA Young Lawyers Representative Rachel Goerz.
