Joshua Perl is an associate at Daniel & Partners LLP. He obtained his J.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2024 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025.
During law school, Joshua published an article in the Manitoba Law Journal titled Infanticide Provisions in a Contemporary Context: Should They Stay, or Should They Go? He also volunteered at two legal clinics, where he gained practical experience assisting clients with a range of legal matters.
Prior to law school, Joshua completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in McMaster University’s Justice, Political Philosophy and Law Program.
Joshua articled at a criminal defence firm in Hamilton, Ontario, where he developed a strong interest in advocacy and litigation. Following his articling term, he completed a judicial clerkship from August 2025 to July 2026, clerking for Madam Justice Heneghan and Madame Justice Conroy of the Federal Court. During his clerkship, Joshua worked on matters involving administrative law, constitutional law, immigration law, and civil litigation.
Joshua is committed to continuing to develop his advocacy skills while assisting clients across the firm’s practice areas.
Outside of the office, Joshua enjoys playing squash and softball, reading, and spending time with friends and family. He also serves on the board of Joy and Hope of Haiti, a charitable organization.
