Internship and co-op programs provide students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional environment. Over the years, our firm has welcomed a number of students from the Brock University Political Science Internship program, including Partner Robert DiLallo who was the firm’s first intern back in winter 2008. Robert went on to join the firm as a summer student, then articling student, and then associate before joining the partnership in 2019. Associate Karen Shedden also participated in the Political Science internship program as an undergraduate, and had a placement in the constituency office of a local Member of Parliament in 2008. Karen returned to our office as a summer student in 2014, then joining us as an NCA Candidate in 2015, before completing her articles with us and joining the firm as an associate in 2018.
We were pleased to hear that Brock University plans to resume the Political Science Internship in the coming academic year. We look forward to once again hosting students at our office.
