On Thursday, October 12, 2017, the Lincoln County Law Association hosted the 9th Annual Mentoring Dinner at Coppola’s Ristorante & Banquet Facility in St. Catharines. The theme for this year’s dinner was titled, “Are you Smarter than an Articling Student”. This event brought together judges, senior members of the bar, young lawyers, and articling students to discuss professional responsibility issues. This year, judges and senior members of the bar were asked to test their knowledge on professional responsibility against those who had recently finished law school. The program was accredited for four professionalism hours by the Law Society of Upper Canada for its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirement.
This annual event could not have taken place without the hard work of Lincoln County Law Association Social Committee Director, and partner of Daniel & Partners LLP, Sarah Draper, as well as Rachel Goerz of Herman’s Supply Company, Lauren Angle of Angle Law, and Kelly Elliott and Derek Drake of the Lincoln County Law Association. If you would like to get involved in planning next year’s event, or you would like more information about attending in 2018, please contact the Lincoln County Law Association.
